Howard was born in Ohio. After graduating from Tri State College in Indiana with a Computer Technology degree he moved to Colorado in 1973. It was then that he started painting new homes. In 1983 he moved to Traverse City, Michigan and continued to paint high-end resort homes for the next 23 years. His love for Colorado never faded so he returned to Colorado in 2006 with his wife, daughter, and son. He started his own company called Wiechers Painting, Inc. to provide for his family. He and son have recently transformed Wiechers Painting into Paragon Painting.

Russell was born in Loveland, Colorado. Throughout his childhood years he spent his summers painting with his father and learning the trade. He then graduated from Northern Michigan University in 2005 with a Secondary Education degree. Russell came back to his roots in 2004 and took a teaching job in Vail, Colorado. Once his family moved back, they began to paint together again and recently decided to go into business together.
